The Baltimore Orioles had very little trouble at Camden Yards downing the New
York (AL) Yankees. The score was 7 to 2.
Baltimore jumped on top of New York (AL) in the 3rd inning with 2 runs using 2
hits. Kaz Matsui led off and started the rally when he doubled. Brian Giles
came next and he drew a walk. After an out was recorded, Ryan Braun came to
the plate and doubled. That scoring would be all that was needed. Baltimore
managed 11 hits in their victory.
Kyle Davies(3-1) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 5 innings. Davies
got help from Jeremy Affeldt who earned his 1st save. Hiroki Kuroda(5-3)
ended up with the loss. He got hit hard, allowing 10 hits and 2 walks in 5
and 2/3 innings.
This win by Baltimore continues their recent hot streak. In their last ten
games, they have a record of 8-2. For the season, they are 19-19. With this
loss, New York (AL) has a 3-7 record of late, 20-22 overall.
