With the hometown crowd on the edge of their seats, Arizona Diamondbacks came
from behind to top Detroit Tigers, 3 to 2.

Arizona came through with the game-winning runs in the bottom of the 9th
inning with 3 runs using 2 hits. Alex Rios led off and keyed the rally when
he tripled. Raul Ibanez next to the plate and he hit a deep fly. Dan Uggla
then drew a walk. Garrett Atkins came up and he doubled. Miguel Tejada came
to the plate and would hit into a fielders choice. The teams had been locked
in a scoreless duel until the 8th inning.

Joe Nelson(2-0) went 1 inning allowing 1 run for the win. The losing pitcher
was Todd Jones(0-3) in relief. He gave up 3 runs and 2 hits in 1/3 of an
inning.

Eric Brelle was in great spirits in his post-game interview. Yet, when asked
about his feelings after the thrilling comeback victory, he volunteered,
'I'll tell you this much - I know how my counterpart, Tom Fischer, feels
right now - and it's not very good. It's terrible when you come up on the
short end of one of these!'
